What word list does the site use?

The current production build contains 227,630 unique lowercase entries between 2 and 15 letters. It was generated from the build machine's system English word list plus a small site seed list. Build fingerprint: 7bf8ff8243bb417d1f8e1dcce3d0c4ad25b658b79afc4e13234f4e99dd7baaeb.

This source includes uncommon, historical, regional, and technical terms. It is not an official game dictionary or an official Wordle answer list. A future release should replace the build-machine dependency with a versioned repository file so every deployment is reproducible.

How are candidates filtered?

The browser filters by length, prefix, suffix, required letters, excluded letters, and question-mark patterns. Exact mode requires every entered non-blank letter. Other modes may return words buildable from the rack or words containing the entered sequence, depending on the tool.

How are results sorted?

Results are deduplicated, then sorted by word length, base English tile score, and alphabetical order. The current Wordle helper does not calculate information gain, certify hard-mode legality, or separate official answers from test guesses.

What stays in the browser?

Letter, pattern, and filter processing runs in the browser. Standard analytics and hosting logs may still record page and device information as described in the privacy policy.

Known limitations

Different games use different dictionaries, scoring rules, answer lists, and policies. A matching result is a candidate, not a guarantee that a publisher or tournament accepts the word.
