You’re staring at a honeycomb of seven letters, one in the center, and you need every valid word that uses that center letter. This tool is for that moment: you want to find words fast, not read a dictionary. Enter your letters, set any length or pattern filters, and get a clean list you can scan or copy.
Why the center letter is non-negotiable
In Spelling Bee, every word must include the center letter. That’s the rule. If you’re stuck, start by listing short words that contain that letter - two- and three-letter words often unlock longer ones. The solver does this instantly, so you can see what you missed.
How to use filters without overcomplicating it
You don’t have to fill every field. Just type the center letter and the six outer letters. Then, if you want, narrow results by:
- Minimum or maximum word length
- Words that start with a certain letter
- Words that contain (or exclude) a specific letter
- Words that end with a certain letter
This is useful when you already have a few words and want to avoid duplicates.
Pangrams: the 7-point bonus words
A pangram uses all seven letters at least once. It’s worth 7 extra points in the game. The solver flags pangrams automatically, so you can spot them first. If you’re close to Genius rank, pangrams are your best shortcut.
Using the list as a hint or as answer candidates
Not ready to see everything? Use the result list carefully: look at lengths, starting letters, or one small section at a time instead of reading every candidate. That keeps the page useful as a nudge rather than a full spoiler.
What to do when no results appear
If the list is empty, double-check that you entered the center letter correctly. Also make sure you didn’t accidentally exclude a letter that’s actually in the puzzle. Try removing one filter at a time until words show up.
Spelling Bee example
Put the required center letter first, then enter the other six letters. Filter out short words if your puzzle has a minimum length, and scan longer words for possible pangrams.
Choose the right word tool
Use this page when one letter is required in every answer and the puzzle has a minimum length. If there is no required center letter, use a general word finder instead.
Common Questions
How do I solve a Spelling Bee puzzle?
Start by listing all words you can think of that include the center letter. Use this solver to fill gaps. Focus on pangrams first, then work through shorter words. The game rewards uncommon words, so don’t ignore obscure ones.
What is a pangram?
A pangram is a word that uses every one of the seven letters at least once. It scores 7 bonus points. Examples include “ambidextrous” if the letters allow it. The solver marks pangrams with a special tag.
Does every word need the center letter?
Yes. That’s the only hard rule. Words can be any length, but they must include the center letter. Letters can repeat, so “banana” is valid if the letters are there.
Can letters repeat?
Yes, letters can be used more than once. The only restriction is that every word must contain the center letter.
Can I get hints before answers?
Yes. Scan only word lengths, starting letters, or a small part of the list if you want a nudge without reading every answer.
Before you count the word
Before you count a word, confirm it uses the center letter and meets the puzzle minimum length. For pangram hunting, scan longer results first and check whether all seven letters appear.
